Website Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This policy explains what freber LLC ("freber," "we," "us") collects when you use freberllc.com (the "Site"), why, and what choices you have. It covers the Site only. Each of our apps has its own privacy policy.
1. Who we are
freber LLC is a South Carolina limited liability company. Contact: service@freberllc.com, 2607 Woodruff Rd, STE E421, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
2. What we collect
- Contact form. If you write to us through the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. We store it in our database and receive it by email.
- Blog comments. Anyone may comment without an account. We ask for a display name, an email address and your comment. Your display name and comment are shown publicly once the comment is approved. Your email address is required but is not shown and is not saved with the comment; it appears only in the email we receive when a comment is submitted for review.
- Comment review. Every comment is held until we read and approve it. We keep the approval status with the comment. We do not send comment text to any outside screening service.
- Analytics (only if you accept). If you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, which uses cookies and identifiers to measure how the Site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the page that referred you). If you click "Decline," Google Analytics is not loaded.
- Technical data. Our web host, Google Firebase Hosting, receives your IP address and request details whenever a page loads, as every web host does. Our pages also load Google's Firebase software libraries from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details at that moment.
- Spam protection. Our contact form and comment box use Google reCAPTCHA through Firebase App Check to tell people from automated programs. It checks things such as your IP address and how your browser behaves, and Google's own privacy policy and terms apply to that check.
We do not run advertising trackers, we do not use social-media tracking pixels, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your messages.
- To publish and moderate comments and keep the Site free of abuse and spam.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it (analytics, only with your consent).
- To keep the Site secure and to meet legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the Site for us, and only as needed:
- Google (Firebase: hosting and database; Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection; Google Analytics if you accept).
- Google Workspace (Gmail) (delivers the emails we send and receive from the contact form and comment review alerts).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
5. Cookies and local storage
A banner asks about analytics cookies the first time you visit. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage under the name freber_cookie_consent. To change your choice at any time, use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, and the banner will appear again. Declining does not limit what you can read on the Site.
6. How long we keep it
- Contact messages: kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
- Comments: for as long as the post stays up, unless you ask us to remove yours or we remove it for breaking our rules.
- Comment review emails (which include a commenter's email address): kept in our mailbox until we delete them.
- Analytics data: for the period configured in our Google Analytics account, never longer than 14 months.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email service@freberllc.com and we will respond within 30 days. To remove a comment, tell us the post and the name you used.
California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. Clicking "Decline" on the banner stops Google Analytics from loading. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Visitors from the EU, UK and similar regions: we use your information for the purposes above on these bases: your consent (analytics), our legitimate interest in running and securing the Site and moderating comments, and your request (replying to your message). You may withdraw consent at any time as described in section 5. Our servers are in the United States, so your information is transferred there.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use the security features of our providers and limit who can see submitted information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will also add a notice on the Site.
